Reaching your full potential is one of the best traits you can have, but surpassing that potential and performing out of your capacity is better then best, it’s extraordinary. Usain Bolt also known as Lightening Bolt has proved that he is the man who has created history. He has amazed us once again by winning gold in the 100m and 200m at the London Olympics since he previously won gold at both these races at the last Olympics as well which were held in Beijing, winning in two Olympics held consecutively.

The way Bolt craves attention, and how he gets the attention is very attractive. Bolt has showed the world that confidence comes with practice. He has shown that sports do not need luck but only hard work. He seems to be a decent and modest man, with goals sky high.

London Olympics 2012 The Real Deal

July 31st, 2012 Kinza Tahir 6 comments

I have grown up watching the Olympics, cherishing every moment. This time being held in London, it is so exciting. Olympics have forever been a unique part of my life. The track & field queen: Sadaf Siddiqui competing in women’s 100 m heat 2 on 15 Aug
The swimming sensation: Kiran Khan

But unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the Pakistani nation, or of its contingent sent to the games. Apart from a few performances by Sadaf Siddiqui or Kiran Khan, the track runner, and swimmer, respectively, there is nothing much left to write about any of other players. And, the least said about the Hockey Team the better.

They used to score points after points and in the process winning accolades not only from their countrymen and women, but also from their competitors. That was the time when Pakistani sports was at its zenith.
But alas! that is not the position anymore.
Nowadays, individual ego and corruption have literally tarnished that image. And, mind you, it is not just individual images that have been destroyed but rather that of the whole game or sport.
