Ghazal Singer Jagjit Singh passed away
Famous Ghazal Singer Jagjit Singh passed away today at 8am in Lilavati Hospital.
He was suffering from brain haemorrhage and admitted on Lilavati Hospital on September 23.
Jagjit Singh is survived by his wife Chitra Singh who is also know as a ghazal singer. His son(vivek Singh) died way back in 1990 in road accident.
Jagjit Singh was born in a small village in Rajasthan on 8th Feb 1941. He belonged from a very religious family. His father ( Sardar Amar Singh Dhiman) wanted his son to be an IAS officer. But there was something else in his destiny. He was very much fond of music.
