Shoe insult for President Bush
| The recent shoe-throwing insult lobbed at US President Bush may seem hilarious to some, and down-right funny to many and hence very appropriate in a way given that US-based actions in various countries has taken quite a bit of negative flak. But I sure hope and pray that US Administration doesn’t link that to us – Pakistan – in any way, given that we have a habit of becoming non-state-actors in every untoward accident that occurs in our region. |  |
| Though various countries, like Lebanon, Turkey and even Iraq claimed responsibility for the accident (Dawn 18 Dec), for manufacturing that ‘weapon of mass destruction’ but for the sake of the nation I wish and hope that it didn’t carry any hidden ‘Made-in-Pakistan’ label. |

I guess this is the first time in my life that I am really thankful to the Almighty that imports to our country are greater than our ‘exports’ to others. |
