Nana kee jaan Qamroo, was a line from the drama serial SHAMAA, not JHOK SAYYAKL, as listed above. Please make a correction.

The blog is excellent, and does take one down the memory lane, of the good old days of 70’s and 80’s of PTV. Thank you for putting out such a nice page out there.

The post does jog some memories.. I remember this one ..I guess this was indeed from Johk Sayaal”.. “Pir Saain andaa te meethay chawal khandaa”… and the famous nauras advertisment… “bhool na jaana phir papa Naurus le kar ghar aana.. mazay mazay ka naurus mujh ko bhi to jee sey hai piyara… bhool na jaana phir papaa..”

Liked the one-liners, they really jog the memory! A correction on #14) The serial is ‘Shama’ and not ‘Jhok Sayal’. It was Jawaid Sheikh’s move to the small screen — his first serial after his first movie ‘Dhamaka’ in 1973 with Shabnam, written by the great Ibn-e-Safi.

The key line from ‘Jhok Sayaal’ was: “Isko uskay ghar lay jao, Usko Iskay ghar lay jao, Pir ko Pata na Chalay..!”
