I don’t know how or why Pakistan (always) gets involved in  global events or funnily enough even in regional disputes between two countries.

This time it was the dispute of historical nature between Greece and its northern neighbour, Macedonia, that saw Pakistan or rather, a part, more specifically, Hunza, getting involved in the fight where each country is claiming the famous warrior king, Alexander The Great, as its own.

Accordingly to historical records, when Alexander along with its troops crossed onwards to South Asia, he used the route which is now part of the current Northern Areas of Pakistan, including Hunza. During the crossing, he left a contingent of his army in the area for defence purposes and marched onwards towards the current-day India. Those left behind were soon forgotten by his administration, and slowly integrated among the locals,  and with the passage of time gave rise to a whole new blue-eyed and fair-skinned generation, which till this day are distinctly apart from the rest of the Pakistani nation.
