Malala Yousufzai: Pride of Pakistan

Malala Yousufzai, the young Pakistani blogger shot by the Taliban, is still in critical condition.

Doctors treating Malala now say bullets have been removed from her head and neck, but her condition is still critical. The Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) have claimed responsibility for the attack and have a $100,000 government bounty against them.

Malala’s friend, Shazia, who was also injured that day, recounted the event to me as her eyes filled with tears.

“They stopped our school van. They were riding on a bike. The masked man kept pointing guns at us and the other was shouting ‘where is Malala?!’ I froze with a flashback to the old dark days: I remembered the headless bodies, slaughtering of rivals – merely on dissent or slightest doubt of spying –the grotesque violence.”

Just a few moments before, she said, the girls had been singing a traditional Pushto folk song on their way back from school, its lyrics vowing sacrificing their lives for their motherland, the beautiful valley of Swat.

Malala has campaigned for girls’ education, and was honored for her work in documenting oppression in the Swat Valley.

Man is composed of two basic elements i.e nature and nurture. In upbringing process, parents have a major participation in which mother offers an ample share. Thus an educated mother will lay the foundation of healthy civilized family. So we can say that the entire personality of a person is an outcome of his mother’s training.

The constitution of Pakistan provides full participation of women in all spheres of life constituting more than 50% of the total population, but the literacy rate in females is just 36% as compared to men that is 64%. The ratio of primary schools for girls and boys is 4 and 10 respectively

Whole nation is feeling pain of Malala Yousafzai which clearly shows that we Pakistani’s are still united when it comes to protecting assets of Pakistan. This sends a message to all those who want to disgrace Pakistan with their childish stupidity. Its a request to all the people reading this blog that please pray for Malala as doctors say that next 24 hours are crucial for her.
