How to make a software portable

Firstly let me give you some intro what exactly is a portable software. Portable softwares are those softwares in which no installation of the software is required in order to run the software. You just have to download or make a software portable and transfer in into your USB. Now where ever you go this software will go with you. You just have to plugin your UBS in any PC/laptop and run your software. No installation is required at all. In this tutorial i will try my level best to teach you how to create your own portable softwares so you can carry them with you where ever you want.

For this you must have these 2 softwares

1) WinRAR

2) Universal Extractor

For this you must have setup file of software which you want to be portable, i am using a software called TeraCopy

right-click on setup file and click on UniExtract to SubDir

Now you will have a folder made

Go into the folder you will find {app} folder

Select all the files in this folder and right click and click on Add to achieve

Give Archive name you want (and leave out .rar) select Compression method Best , and click on Create SFX achieve

Click on Advanced and click on SFX options, here name Run after extraction with the same name as your original .exe file name is

Click Mode and apply these 3 options

Finally your portable software is done

Now carry copy this TeraCopy file in your USB and use it anywehre you want without installing the software
