With Microsoft launching Bing and merging with Yahoo, combined, their market share have received a tremendous boost. But what does Google have in store to counter this? Well, guess what? They have launched their new search engine by the name of Google Caffeine. This new search engine is super-fast and more accurate in obtaining results than Google’s present search engine.
Now let’s review Google Caffeine’s features that make it faster. There are three main categories which are to be noted:
Speed: How fast can the new search engine load results?
Accuracy: Which set of results is more accurate to the search term?
Index Size: Is it really more comprehensive than the last version of Google?
Speed: First, comparison is of speed: so how fast is the new search engine? Lightening fast, that is the better way to define it. See the time taken by both the engines
Compare that to the original Google search:
0.12 vs 0.25 seconds? They have doubled the speed! That’s tremendous. Tried couple more searches, and viola! each time new engine win’s single handedly
Accuracy:How accurate is the new search engine – results are better than words, see for yourself.
As you have seen that the new search engine is clean and clear, with no picture results merging with the web search. That’s is an amazing exclusion
Index Size:Indexing basically means how many results a particular search engine generates. In this category, the new version wins hands down.
Conclusion: While this test was nowhere near a thorough analytical measurement, but we did reached some final conclusions:
New Google is FAST: It doubles the speed of a normal Google search..
New Google relies more on keywords: SEO professionals, your job just got a lot harder. The algorithm’s definitely different. It has more reliance on keyword strings to produce better results.
It’s partially a response to Bing: Well, what do you expect from Google. Personally, I expect nothing but the best, given their level of performance during the years, hence, more expectations from the company. Now this is what I call a perfect response to Microsoft’s Bing.
The new Google will only get better as more and better features are implemented and developed. Thus, the end result will be a better search experience for the user.
Hence, it is true that what they say that ‘competition really does breed innovation’!.
