Sunday is usually a funday but not when you receive an SMS from your boss and you need to make urgent changes in the website. On Sunday as I was relaxing in home, I faced the same scenario. There were things missing from our description and boss wanted me to update the details. I had made the details document on Saturday but the problem was document was in the office.
As a techie guy I love to make backup of my files. I simply opened my 4shared account, downloaded the document and updated it on the website. Hmm have you ever come across the same scenario that you need some file on urgent bases but you don’t remember where you stored the file in your PC.
Making backup of your important files is certainly a good practice to increase your productivity. You can make a backup online or store your data in a portable Hard Drive which is usually available in stores quite easily and it’s also cheap.
Boomerang for Gmail can schedule emails you send and postpone emails you’ve received; the former are sent reliably when desired and the latter disappear from your inbox to turn up again prominently at the preset time.
It’s a pity Boomerang is not available for other email services as well and works only with Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome.
Many of my friends keep asking again and again on “How to directly download video from YouTube” or “How to extract mp3 from YouTube video”. Steps are quite simple so I thought why not make a blog and share the knowledge with everyone. You just need a browser and an internet connection to download video from YouTube. No software installation is necessary. Just follow the steps given below to enjoy videos on your PC, Laptop or hand held devices.
If there’s one thing that’s predictable in the technology world, it’s that things change. Products that were commonplace ten years ago (PDAs, CRT televisions, fax machines) are quickly fading with the sands of time.
Today, there are many products we take for granted that will likely be dead in five years. Whether their features are being subsumed by other products or they are falling victim to changing business models, their days are numbered. Sure you may still find some quaint reminders in the back of SkyMall’s Late Spring 2016 catalog, but for all intents and purposes they will be gone.
In-car portable navigation systems
Why they’re going extinct: Today, portable navigations devices from Garmin, TomTom and Magellan are a common sight on car dashboards and windshields. But everything the portable navigation systems can do, smartphones can do as well, if not better. And one of the best smartphone nav apps, Google Maps Navigation, is free. So it should be no surprise that portable navigation system sales dropped 22 percent in 2010. And it should be no surprise in five years when they’re gone entirely.
Mistakes are often made with word usage. Unfortunately, it’s not something that can always be remedied with spell checker.
Here is a list of ten common word usage mistakes with explanations and examples of proper use:
- There vs. Their vs. They’reThere is an indication of location.
Example: I want to see that book over there.
Their is a possessive version of they.
Example: They took their dog to the groomer.
They’re is a contraction, short for they are.
Example: They’re going to the theatre tonight.
- A lot vs. Allot vs. AlotA lot is an indication of amount.
Example: I have a lot of laundry to do.
Allot means to distribute.
Example: I will allot you two cookies.
Alot is not a word.
- I.e. vs. E.g.I.e. means “in other words.”
Example: Writing more articles increases your website traffic. I.e., it will bring you more exposure.

With the popularity of Facebook having risen, Pakistanis haven’t been far behind in using it. No, leave ‘Leave far behind!’ They’ve flooded the site to such an extent that I believe Mark Zuckerberg should keep a quota for the percentage of Pakistanis on facebook! So here’s my take on the 7 obvious, and ridiculously annoying types:
1. The Rohndoos:
These are the ones who just cannot help but keep crying and whining on and about how sad/bad or unfair life and this world is to them. They are prone to updating statuses like the following everyday:
“I Fe3L LyK crYing! I h@te ma lyfe!”
“So0o lonely! Nobody cares about me! I jus d0nt want 2 live!!”
“My life SUxxx!”
“I want to end ma life!”
(Yes please, go ahead and spare us this torture)
They, I firmly believe, are people who used to keep the lyrics ‘Zindagi Nay Zindagi Bhar Ghum Diay” as their MSN ‘nick’ with the picture of a slashed wrist, with the oozing blood spelling ‘Heart-broken’ and have now graced us with their pleasant presence on Facebook.
Facebook is the home of millions of users now days. People eat and update their status, people hangout and upload their pictures, people even protest on Facebook. For this security is the main issue which was of concern for Mark Zuckerberg. To overcome this Facebook introduced a feature which enables Facebook to send you an email or an SMS when someone logs into your account from anywhere in the world. Just stick with me and will guide you to activate this feature.
China based mobile phones are currently one of the cheapest cell phones available in the market. Ranging in between Rs 4,000 to 10,000 you can afford replicas of Nokia, Samsung and even an iPhone. Although, they may be cheap, but sometimes, they can be of very good quality. But then that is very far and between. Normally, Chinese cell phones are what we like to call, expandable.
After receiving overwhelming response on my NKTEL A200 mobile blog I just planned another review for my QMobile Q3i. I will try my best to provide some useful insights regarding QMobile Q3i.
It is a sleek new set, with some catchy colors and a smooth iPhone like design. The 2.2 inch screen is large enough to view movies quite comfortably. The number buttons are also big enough for easy punching.
These days hackers and some other are so smart that may steal your account passwords and you never get to know about it, as they keep on logging to your account from other computers without your knowledge and peek into your account without your permission.
So, if any one else login to your account from some other computer other than the registered one or the some other mobile phone other than your registered mobile phone you will get notified via email.
