Pieces Of Time part 1

February 20th, 2012 Kinza Tahir No comments

rainIt was raining, it had been constantly pouring since the last three days. She had been stuck in her apartment since then as the mere thought of heavy rain used to infuriate her. She stared out of the window, the gloomy weather did not match her style at all. She was the kind of woman who loved breathing in the sun, when the rays touched her soft skin, she would enjoy the glimmer, mesmerize herself in them. The downpour had completely ruined her mood. She walked around the apartment, thinking of cleaning up the place but that would be just out of her personality. She tossed that thought away.

She looked in the mirror in her hallway and saw a woman of no more than twenty-one and wondered about her journey since she was just a seventeen year old.

When she was a girl, all her hassles, dramas and issues were taken care of her by her parents but after she turned seventeen, she knew she had a life to build, a career to set. She moved over to the couch with a bottle of water in her hand and started remembering what it was really like to be the star and then coming down to bits, and then just be an ordinary human being.

Valentine’s Day: The Anticipation

February 13th, 2012 Kinza Tahir No comments

valentines_day“Did you get something on Valentine’s Day? Did you receive chocolates, flowers, a heart shaped chocolate red icing cake with a special love message?” Yeah, this is what people who receive gifts ask their friends in an attempt to make them jealous. People who don’t receive (like me) just want to stoop to the ground and bury themselves with embarrassment.

Most people don’t follow Valentines, but as soon as they receive gifts they scream with happiness, forget that they never believed in it in the first place but are just happy as clams.

Valentine’s Day is celebrated for just the mere reason to remind your special someone, or your friends (ahem) that they are truly loved, cherished and beyond doubt, are their life.

Red is the color on Valentines. You can mix it up with white as well as pink but red is the most important because it’s the color of love. Red roses look so pretty with red chocolates as well as matching red and white teddies. People go out on candle light dinners, have walks on the beach, enjoy the moonlight and just have fun!

Breaking Free From Love At Parks?

January 24th, 2012 Kinza Tahir 1 comment

maya khan didnt catch meThere have been talks about the latest gossip and controversy surrounding Maya Khan where she was finding dates at parks proving that she must have done the same when she was 20 that should be like a good 40 years ago. When I was checking my Twitter timeline I assumed she had done something similar to The Veena Jee but as it turns out Maya Khan has crossed not a thin but a thick line.

Dating in parks has been common since I can imagine. It got to that level where bushy trees were cut in some parks when there were random aunties screaming when they found a girl and a boy sitting and eating biscuits.  Like seriously? You can do that publicly as well, why hide?

Gadi Ko Chalana Babu Zara Halke Halke

January 3rd, 2012 Yousuf Rafi No comments

Gadi Chalana is a complex physical and mental operation. Not only does it require coordination, it also requires rapid assessment skills and good judgment. Companies have spent decades making cars easier and safer to drive, installing everything from rearview mirrors to automatic transmissions. Despite that, some drivers insist on creating distractions for them behind the wheel, most of which have nothing to do with driving, safe or otherwise.

December 3rd, 2011 Yousuf Rafi No comments

Just had an experience with a famous broadband service provider which made me think: Is Customer service really that important? While working in Tohfay.com I learned that customers are our greatest asset. If you treat your Customers well, they will boost your sales to a phenomenal level.
