Isko Usko Sab Ko ‘Maat’ Hui

December 29th, 2011 Kinza Tahir 2 comments

maatMaat which literally means ‘defeat’ has created quite a hype among the young. Sitting between groups of girls, while discussing whose nose job went wrong we also discuss the plots of our Pakistani dramas. Maat is one of them. I have talked about the storyline along with what is wrong with Saman (Saba Qamar) and does Aiman (Amina Sheikh) really believe in the whole act that has been put in front of her.

Before I go on and on about the two sisters, I should brief that the drama has two girls where Aiman the older one is the wiser one, she doesn’t believe in smaller things but rather looks at the bigger picture. I think girls like her always have the other side which I haven’t seen as yet.

GOD gifted Potential in Pakistan

December 12th, 2011 Kinza Tahir No comments

There are always two kinds of ways which people follow: the negative and the positive. In life, some think negatively but people who take out the positive out of negative, take out opportunities are those who will lead to success.

karachi

Below are points which will highlight Pakistan in a positive way:

  • This country is God gifted. It has unlimited minerals be it gas, coal and immeasurable oil that hasn’t even been excavated yet. People don’t realize how rich our country is. We have 10 kinds of marble. India only has 3 to which it does 10 arab dollars worth of exports. We have copper and gold reserves from Baluchistan and Waziristan to Chitral. Our reserves of gold and copper only are worth 260 arab dollars in Baluchistan. Waziristan has more than that. Our coal reserves in Thar have so much worth that it’s more than of Saudia Arabia and Iran combined. There is so much energy that we won’t be having problems of load shedding.

Seven Deadly Questions Asked In Your 20s

November 22nd, 2011 Kinza Tahir 2 comments

quesIt’s your birthday, you are celebrating your 20th! Next day, you meet your mamoo (mother’s brother), he takes you on a long walk asking you all these questions. Sometime later, you go to a gathering, someone gets to know your age is more then 20, storm of questions start coming your way. Run away! Here are the Top Seven Deadly Questions Asked In Your 20s, have you survived them? Let’s find out!

7) When are you getting married?

This question is so galling, be it in weddings or casual parties at home, aunties or mothers of your married friends ask, ‘beta mu kab meetha karwa rahi ho?’ (I’m still waiting for your wedding sweets.’). This one makes me want to shove and smash the glass in my hand onto their big head but what can you do? Just smile and nod. There are some who snap back with, ‘mere abhi khelnay kudnay k din hain, shaadi kar k barbaad nahi karnay!’ (These are my days to play and have fun, I don’t want to ruin it by getting married!’).

Prove Me Wrong?

November 19th, 2011 Kinza Tahir 1 comment

quote pinkWhy do some people get satisfied by proving others wrong? This is the way of the world. Likewise, by seeing others suffer we feel thankful for our good fortune. Shakespeare in his famous play Romeo and Juliet declares, ‘One fire burns out another’s burning, one pain is lessen’d by another’s anguish’. Seeing others fail makes you think that your failure is not that huge. The dreadful feeling that you get after you fail falters when you see other’s fall down, the feeling just disappears.

Thinking about yourself but keeping other’s interest at heart should be our priority. Of course, you have to think about yourself but glancing if the other person is doing well can be done too.

In a perfect world, anyone can be faultless but the world is not perfect, the people are not perfect, thus you just have to try your best, be thankful for what we are. Even when we ask our parents for something, they tell us to look at the people below us, and BE THANKFUL for what we already have. What does below us mean? More like who are not that rich? Probably, those people are happier because they do so much effort, but are patient, because God will give them more.

Can’t Wait No More: ROCKSTAR

November 11th, 2011 Kinza Tahir 1 comment

rockstarROCKSTAR is the most awaited film of Ranbir Kapoor. In the year 2011, he did a special appearance in Chillar Party. After a long wait for his fans, now he is starring in a new themed more like a different concept movie, ROCKSTAR. When the promos started coming on TV, I thought what in heaven is Ranbir doing? He is going to ruin his career. I never even bothered to watch the rest of the promo, just used to switch the channel.

Now, after I saw Ranbir Kapoor promoting ROCKSTAR in a reality show, looking handsome and very stylish, his look was very different from the ads being shown, which reminded me that actually Ranbir is a very charming and calm person. Whichever role he will do, he will make it work and give his best. Even the voice behind ROCKSTAR, Mohit Chauhan was there with him, he sang a song which left me bewildered. The voice suits Ranbir, which was a ‘wow’ factor for me. The best songs are ‘Saada Haq’, ‘Naadan Parinday’, ‘Jo Bhi Main’ and ‘Tum Ho’.

Spot Fixing: 3 Idiots Sentenced To Jail

November 3rd, 2011 Kinza Tahir No comments

asif, amir, buttAll the allegations against them were said to be true, they have faced the result! It’s been officially announced that Salman Butt will be facing 30 months in jail while Mohammad Asif has been sentenced 12 months of imprisonment and lastly Mohammad Amir is slammed with 6 months of jail time! Why? They were charged with spot fixing, which means that every action a player takes, if a bet is kept against it, it’s called spot fixing, for the match held in 2010 at Lord’s Cricket Ground, London.

So much was said, so much is written against this, but what happened in the end? They have been punished at last. Media is showing the players’ families in grief, which is just cruelty against humanity. Playing with emotions is not the message to be given out!

According to public opinion, ’it’s a pure fair decision, its individual’s fault, these players are corrupt and we as a nation suffered because of them’.

Butt being a senior player and captain at that time should have more responsibility regarding this! When he returns, he should be punished by the PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) as well!

Imran Khan Stuns All With Striking InSwinger!

Imran khan bowls!

Imran Khan bowls!

The day of change, the day of justice, no one can deny, yesterday, October 30, 2011, was the day to be recorded in history! The original champion, Imran Khan, chairman and founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI), held a jalsa (rally) yesterday along with his supporters in a major city of Pakistan, that is, Lahore. After a long time, people came running to attend a jalsa, from small villages to the residents of Lahore, everyone was pumped! Why? People need change! All this time, everyone can see that we need to revolutionize but they did not have a platform! May be now they do! Time will tell!

The crowd had more then 50, 000 patriotic Pakistanis, women as well! By some estimates there were over 100,000 people and one media even exaggerated to 500,000 though that could be called a very ‘wide’ ball? As reported, Imran Khan started his speech with reciting Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim! Khan began with the name of Allah, praising Him and His blessings! That seems to be an attempt to get the right wing engaged to his message a la Jamat-e-Islami and JUI vote bank. Khan said “Intention and striving is kept in our hand by Allah while success he will give Himself!”

I will mention here some of the messages and strategies he laid out as manifesto for his movement for change. Khan said, “When people of our country get up for change, no one can compete with them!” He addressed the Lahoris as well as the young generation with a very positive attitude, talking about practical targets which were reachable! Khan explained that problems related to electricity, will be a thing of the past, public will be free from such issues! Khan talked about corruption, he will end the interest system in villages and cities, taxes will be collected for the betterment of the country!

Sachin Knows Everything

April 26th, 2011 medigineers 2 comments

sachin-tendulkar-finding-happinessSachin is the mastero ghe knows everything about the art of cricket.. recently searching the net I came across this interview of Pakistan Ex-captain Rashid Latif and according to Latif.. ‘Sachin knows more then every thing….. read on….

Pakistan ex-captain Rashid Latif has been a central figure in implicating some of the top players of his country in match-fixing. Much of Latif’s charges have been borne out in events of the past few months. As far back as ‘97, Latif had maintained something was rotten in subcontinental cricket. That included the establishment and players with dubious links with bookies. His charges against Pakistanis prompted the setting up of the Justice Qayyum inquiry.

Now Latif is willing to testify before the King Commission on the ‘95 Mandela Trophy finals, which he claims were “fixed”. In an interview with Murali Krishnan, he talks on the current crisis facing Indian cricket. Significantly, without accusing Sachin Tendulkar, Latif identifies him as one who knows all about match-fixing and says he should be questioned thoroughly.  Excerpts:

How not to walk in Shoes of Greats – Dissecting Mohali Semi-Final blow up!

April 2nd, 2011 medigineers 6 comments

A lot has been said and read and written in last two days… and here are my two “dropped catches”…Jazba

I have been writing on this blog the variance of Talent from skills and in my blog Mother of All Battles when I wrote that Pakistan must restrict India under 260 and then use skills and sense to stabilize and create a game… they did all that but.. What happened in Mohali on March 30th has pushed me to define what sets “skills and discipline” and in turn greatness apart from mere talent and Jazba..

Shahid Afridi Vs Imran Khan
